Konstantin Lopushansky
A Soviet and Russian film director, film theorist and author. He is best known for directing post-apocalyptic films Dead Man's Letters (1986), A Visitor to a Museum (1989), Russian Symphony (1994) and The Ugly Swans. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1997), People's Artist of Russia (2007), member of the European Film Academy (EFA), full member (academician) of the Russian Academy of Motion Picture Arts NIKA, Ph.D. in History of Arts. 

Winner of more than 30 international film festivals, including two-time winner of the Ecumenical Jury Prize - at the Moscow and Berlin Film Festivals (1989 and 1995). His film Dead Man's Letters was shown in many countries of the world, was presented at more than 10 international film festivals (including in Cannes in 1987).

In his films, Lopushansky always acts both as a director and as a screenwriter. His films have been broadcasted on TV channels in Europe, Canada, USA, Australia and Latin America. Retrospectives of Lopushansky's films took place in Germany, France, Belgium and other countries.
